Matt McMillen joined GACE in 2004. During his time here he has gained experience in various project types including Residential, Hospitality, Commercial, and Educational work, with an emphasis in high-rise concrete buildings. Some recent projects include the new Hilton Garden Inn at 136 West 42nd Street in Manhattan, the new Marriott Courtyard at 135 West 30th Street.
Matt holds degrees in Physics and Civil engineering and has always enjoyed finding elegant solutions to challenging problems. Thriving on projects that require heavily detailed and sophisticated levels of computer analysis he has been instrumental in the development of GACE's firm-wide computer modeling standards, and has trained many of our engineers in this area. Always seeking to improve the quality of our design standards and drawings, Matt has personally developed several calculation tools that are used every day by GACE engineers, and helped to write GACE's Quality Control Project Management manual.
Matt is a licensed P.E. in the state of Vermont. He is a member of the AISC and the ACI.
