15 Broad Street

New York, NY

The conversion of the historic 42-story J.P. Morgan building at 15 Broad Street (23 Wall Street) into luxury condominiums became the first in the Wall Street area. Through the diligence of the design team, headed by Ismael Leyva Architects, GACE found ways to reduce construction costs and achieve the designers’ and architects’ visions. Through load tests, tons of steel were saved in the framing of floor penetrations. Also, GACE was able to reinforce the existing 23 Wall Street roof for its conversion to a terrace with amenities such as a reflecting pool and a residential garden.
